On behalf of one of our clients, we are looking for a behavioural pharmacologist for a temporary assignment beginning as soon as possible and lasting until 23 December, 2010.
The client is a neurology department at a pharmaceutical company. A major task for the department is to evaluate novel treatment concepts through studying preclinical disease models. The overall goal is to develop new drugs and treatments for the major neurodegenerative disorders, in particular Alzheimer's disease.

Utbildning/erfarenhet
We are looking for an in-vivo neuropharmacologist with a background in - and with recent experience from working with - behavioural models, various drug dosing paradigms, brain dissection and tissue preparation. The successful candidate must have a background in Alzheimer's disease research and should have a Ph.D. within behavioural pharmacology. Expertise in having run rodent models of cognition is an absolute requirement.
Good communication skills, high motivation and the ability to interact and work effectively in a team-based environment are essential qualifications. Previous experience of having worked within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is a merit.
