About the position
Battery Technician at VCSO is a part of the art BATTERY LIFECYCLE SERVICES within VCSO. This art is responsible for the 1-2-3 strategy for batteries within VCSO. This strategy covers repair and reuse, 2nd application and recycle. The Battery technician is part of the battery center that act like the center of excellence when coming to batteries within the VCSO organization. This art continuously works on reducing the CO2 footprint according to the VCC targets.

What you will do
* To conduct fault racing and analyze on incoming material from the dealer work shops this will include PHEV and BEV batteries from Volvo cars and other defined OEMs
* To repair according to given instructions and methods to deliver quality assured batteries to our customers.
* To build manufacture new complete batteries following VCSBs manufacturing structure to provide spare parts to customers.
* Participate in development of new and improved instructions for the battery center within the VCSB organization.
* Apply lean way of working striving to reduce time and cost for produced products at Battery center
* Define standards for Battery centers and for work shops that will conduct repairs.
* Collaborate in cross-functional teams with Battery centers within VCSB.
* Cross functional work with organizations within Volvo Cars to secure that the Battery centers deliveries is aligned with concerned stakeholders.
* Participate in the regress process and work with product claims towards suppliers.
* Storage management of batteries includes forklift drivers license.

You and your skills
You have a genuine interest and are curious about electrification and enjoy taking on new challenges. As a person, you find it easy to collaborate with others both within and outside your team and can easily communicate both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. You are orderly and structured and always focused on the customer, quality and delivery precision.
You are an experienced, accurate and skilled vehicle technician, engineer or you have another equivalent background.
Advantage if you have good technical knowledge of HV battery packs, alternatively you have an education in electronics.
Possession of a driver's license and truck card is a requirement as the service will work with storage of batteries.
Requirements for high school qualifications. PC knowledge is a must as this is a tool used in daily work when working with batteries.
We also have international customers, which means being able to communicate in English in both speech and writing.
