Our Mission:

At Electromobility, we're driving the transition to environmentally friendly transport solutions. Pioneering the shift from conventional powertrains to electrification. Your New Colleagues:

Join the Energy Storage System section, a vital part of Volvo Group's Electromobility division. We lead the Energy Storage System product portfolio globally and oversee its quality management. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring excellence in our products.

What do we do?

Electromobility is one of the main development areas within Volvo Group and was created to be at the forefront of environmentally friendly transport solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow. We are responsible for the transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments. We develop and drive the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks and Buses as well as create opportunities for all business areas within Volvo Group. Electromobility is a growing agile-driven organization in place to shape the future!

What will you do?

We are working in a cross-functional way from requirement, concept and design, final verification, implementation in production and aftermarket.

Your responsibilities will include:
Working throughout the product development, including maintenance.
Requirement specifications, collecting, and breakdown of stakeholders and legal needs.
Working together with the technology teams and attribute owners, defining the system design to meet the requirements.
Balancing the technical solution and support for verification.
Involving in the technical decisions towards projects, maintenance, and suppliers. Making sure that we continuously improve the quality.

Who are we looking for?

We believe that to be successful in this position, you are a team player that loves to develop system designs with the customer in focus. Since the electric vehicle technology is in an early phase, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy working in a changing environment. You have knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical development. Experience in leading system solution towards suppliers and technology teams. We also believe that you feel comfortable of owning and take responsibility of your system and do so with great attitude.

Relevant Experience:
Experience from System design and development of Electrical Propulsion System.
Min. two years of experience from design within high voltage batteries.
Good understanding of how battery pack building blocks and system attributes influence Energy Storage Systems performance.
Experience in defining requirements and balancing requirements between stakeholders and technical solution.
Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering

Meritorious to have:
Competencies within Volvo process and tools, particularly DVP
Agile principles and methods
Experience working as a Component Owner or Project Manager
