About us
As part of our mission to enable the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable and safe way we are now launching our first Battery Electric Vehicle, the XC40 P8 Recharge. It is powered by an in-house designed battery developed by our great battery team in Gothenburg. To follow this, we are now working on a new electric vehicle platform and several exiting products that all will be powered by Batteries designed and developed in-house. With these new products Volvo Cars aims to be leading in electrification and, in 2025, every 2nd Volvo sold shall be a battery electric vehicle. To deliver on this aim we will deepen our involvement in all aspects of battery development.

* Maintain and develop design guidelines for battery safety
* Educate people at different positions within the company on battery safety

You and your skills
You are a team player with strong communications skills with a genuine interest in technology. You can work independently and take required actions on own initiative. You are a fast learner with an analytical and solution-based mindset.
