Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. The electrification trend within the automotive business is moving rapidly. For P&L this means that we need to prepare for ramping up production of electrical vehicles and help Scania become more sustainable. One major component in an electrical vehicle is the battery.
We are running the production for the existing battery pack as well as the prototypes for next generations of Packs and Modules at S26, Moraberg, Södertälje.
Vacant position
We are now looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team. You will be in charge of developing, defining and implementing the quality standards, procedures and the Quality Control. You have a strong working knowledge of APQP tools (PPAP, D/PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, etc) and you should preferably have experience of working in a production environment.
Jobs responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop and support PFMEA's, process flow charts and conducting MSAs
• Prepare and submit PPAP documents
• Define and produce the Quality Control plans for each process operation
• Set up quality monitoring procedures and quality KPI's
• Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities with production and R&D.
• Handle deviations from production and assist in investigation of customer complaints and carry out corrective actions and root cause analysis, e.g. DMAIC or 8D
• Present and clarify quality problems through nonconformance processes, interpret and report results
• Collaborate and work closely with R&D and different part of the Battery Production
Requirements:
• BSc in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
• Communication skills
• Experience with PPAP
• Work experience within production
