Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. The electrification trend within the automotive business is moving rapidly. For Production and Logistics this means that we need to prepare for ramping up production of electrical vehicles and help Scania become more sustainable. One major component in an electrical vehicle is the battery. Therefore we have set up a project team with focus to develop the process for in house production of battery modules, battery packs and VCB cables.
For us within the Battery Production Unit it is important to fully understand the manufacturing processes and to support the development and product introductions. In addition, it is essential to build some preproduction capacity. Therefore, we are now searchin to expand our team. We are looking for flexible team players, that are dedicated to a sustainable future.
We are now looking for multiple process engineers who want to join our team with focus on enabling Scania's electrification journey. The products are new for Scania and we, together with our colleagues in R&D and Purchasing, are developing a product that will be critical for Scania's fulfilment of the Science-based targets to achieve a sustainable future. Your role
You will work as a Global Process Engineer either for the battery pack, VCB or module being the main contact between designers and the value adding process.
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out activities for new products, process changes, product changes and quality improvements. It includes developing, identify and suggest the best manufacturing method and that the conditions exist to be able to manufacture the products at the right quality, time and cost. In addition, putting requirements for equipment as well as on the product and the drawings.
You will work with everything from Product Development Interaction, Production Requirements, Design for Assembly, Risk Analysis P-FMEA, Process Verification (PPAP) and understand the production processes of battery products and also contribute within the Product Development Process in a cross functional setup with R&D, Production, Logistics and Purchasing and cross brand with our TRATON colleagues.

Experience
Scania Technician, Bachelor och Master of Science Degree
Minimum of 3 years of experience from Process/Industrial engineering or similar work experience
Product Development and/or battery manufacturing experience is highly valued for these positions
Professional level of spoken and written English is essential
Knowledge of Scanias Production Processes including Design for Machining/Assembly, Scania Ergonomic Standard, P-FMES, CATIA and Scania Time Standard methods is highly valued

You will achieve
A wide connection network within Production & Logistics as well asa within several other functions at Scania. You will work with several other units as well as outside parties and be asked to present material for management teams on all levels of the company. Furthermore you will be part of a new team exploring a new field within Scania Production & Logistics.
