What You'll Do
You will serve the organization with fact-based data-driven product cost estimations incl. production and development cost. Your main responsibility is to strive to make sure that NOVO energy R&D always do the right design choices and get value for the money by estimating the right cost level (Bill of Material and manufacturing process). With your understanding of the detailed BOM and manufacturing process cost you will calculate estimations of final piece price and define key complexity cost drivers including raw material fluctuations and trends.
You will also contribute to our strategic business plan through theoretical benchmark activities and deep dives into new and future raw material technologies. The automotive market is dynamic and attribute balancing is a constant state. With a market that always pushes for cell attribute improvements, scouting for future technology will be part of your role as well.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Support R&D in design choices by estimating BOM cost and manufacturing cost

Calculating the piece price cost for production of cell

Conducting benchmark studies and follow market trends

Technology scouting for future technology improvements
Your Background
We are looking for an enthusiastic learner who takes ownership and is persistent in solving problems at their root causes. You want to stay on top of the latest state-of-the-art cell technology, and with your strong analytical skills and data-driven approach, you are good at working both independently and in a team.
We see that you have previous experience as cost estimator or cost engineer within the automotive industry life science or equivalent material science domain. Experience from e-Mobility or Lithium-Ion development, maybe through purchase/ supply chain/ sales will be highly beneficial.

Technical university degree or equal relevant working experience

Our state-of-the-art R&D facility will gather leading expertise from all over the world, to create the next generation battery cells.
