Within PDU LTE and the SW Design & Integration organization, a new unit, Baseband Infrastructure Design (BBI), has been formed with the responsibility of baseband platform SW development and tools.
The Baseband Tools group is responsible for delivering the tools our teams use to develop SW - across LTE-, WCDMA- and GSM-baseband design organizations. We strive for technology leadership - and we have realized that baseband tools can be a differentiation factor for Ericsson in the marketplace. We are significantly increasing our investment in this area - and as such are looking to build a world-class team to lead us forward. We are now looking for both newly graduates and experienced developers.
Job description
Our existing mindset regarding tools has got us to where we are today - going forward we want to change the game. We are looking for innovative System Engineers and SW Developers with a lot of ideas that will design the way forward - and help lead our baseband tools organization to true technology leadership in the multi-core DSP arena.
Your work at the Baseband Tools Platform Organization will include:
• Contribute to the Technical lead of the baseband tools organization.
• Drive a sub-set of the Baseband tools area together with our tools architects.
• Participate in early phases and pre-development (prototyping)
• Participate in feature development, i.e. design, implementation and test.
Qualifications
You need to have a Master of Science in software Engineering, computer science or equivalent formal education or work experience. You should also have;
• Experience in SW development, such as C/C++ -programming, Eclipse plug-in, Java programming, Perl and/or Python script programming.
• Experience in SW development of multi-core processors.
• Strong drive for results, even in an ambiguous environment
• Ability to work in teams as well as independently when needed
• Ability to communicate and drive technical work
• Innovative
• Open mind, eager to learn and analytical capability
• Good written and spoken English
