Base Materials within Supply Chain Operations at Tetra Pak are striving to continuously adapt and improve our base material supply base in corporation with our suppliers, converting factories and package platforms.
As a Base Material Engineer within the Quality & Environment and the Paperboard Technology teams within Base Materials, you will be working in a small specialist team and be the expert in environmental questions as well as managing the paperboard specification system. The key challenge is to get the routines to collect environmental data in place and to communicate with suppliers in environmental questions as well as maintaining our system for Paper board specifications.
In this role you will split your time between the two teams so this is an opportunity to get to understand how we work with suppliers both in environmental and technical questions at the same time being technically involved in the base material.
This is a temporary role for approximately 2 years, starting a s a p.
Main responsibilities
• Development and qualification of new products and suppliers
• Specification maintenance, development and compliance
• Monitor suppliers compliance to specifications, analyse quality and environmental data
• Quality assurance through follow-up, system development, data collection and sampling
• Performance analyses and resolution
Qualifications
We are looking for a self-motivated, organised person with a high drive. You have a thorough and systematic way of working and are quality and environmentally oriented. Furthermore, you have great networking skills and the ability and motivation to share your knowledge with others.
To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience from material specifications, base material knowledge as well as an environmental background. We believe that you have a Master of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. A very good command of English, both written and oral is required.
