To make that happen we need the best to join our in-house Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) team. We are now looking for a BAS-U Site Safety Manager to join our fantastic team - come be a part of an exciting journey together with us!

About the job
You will serve a key role in the governance regarding the care and protection of our employees and contractors. This position revolves around ensuring safe work environmental conditions (Bas-U) at the NOVO Energy construction site in Torslanda.
The ability to execute on complex and comprehensive tasks in a developing industry is key, as you will be working on a site that will be under construction while also preparing to transform it into a world-class battery manufacturing site.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the site safety team (Bas-U team), ensuring safe work environmental conditions at construction site.
- Together with team being responsible for tasks such as; coordinate risk assessments, defining responsibilities, identifying high-risk jobs, establishing communication paths, safety routines and safety standards, inspections.
- Site safety coordination in accordance with Swedish legislation.
- Continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge, and preparedness to create a culture that prioritizes a safe workplace.
- Identifying gaps when present and ensuring that an action plan is both developed and executed on time.
Skills & Requirements
You genuinely care for people and find it easy to influence others through direct and indirect leadership. You can be a bit nerdy in finding a good structure and creating rules and systems. At the same time you are creative and flexible, allowing you to figure out how to solve problems in the least burdensome, expedient manner.
We believe that you have:
- University (or advanced) degree within relevant field.
- Bas-U education
- 5+ years of working experience is in the construction industry.
- Work experience within site coordination and Bas-U in Sweden and good working knowledge of Swedish health and safety legislation.
- Experience of managing people as their direct reporting manager.
- Excellent English written and oral skills.
- Working business-level reading, writing, and speaking proficiency in Swedish.

Our state-of-the-art R&D facility will gather leading expertise from all over the world, to create the next generation battery cells.
