About the position
We are looking for a Backorder Handler for our client, a major player in the automotive industry. This position is located in Eskilstuna. You will join a team of 12 colleagues working as Backorder Handlers and Regional Coordinators. The team supports the company's Sales Region Europe & International as well as regional warehouses in South America, Korea, Singapore, Dubai, and the USA. In this role, you will collaborate closely and communicate daily both within the team and with various global functions.
Your daily tasks
As a Backorder Handler, you play a key role in resolving the most critical situations for the company's customers - machine downtime due to missing spare parts ("Vehicle off Road"). In this position, you are entrusted with a full mandate to make decisions that may even involve stopping production lines in order to get customer machines back in operation as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities
Manage urgent backorder cases and ensure swift solutions
Coordinate with a global network of suppliers, production, service centers/order offices, technical teams, purchasing, material planning, and warehouses worldwide
Provide reliable and clear information to customers and internal stakeholders
Handle and communicate customer expectations in a professional manner
Contribute to the development and standardization of new ways of working and improvements
Actively work with digitalization and new technologies to improve performance, including data analysis

Qualifications:
Education or experience in logistics/supply chain
Interest or experience in digitalization and data analysis
Knowledge of Python and Power BI is a strong plus
Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Contract type and hours
Full-time consulting assignment until 2026-06-05, with possibility of extension. Start immediately.
