hela Sverige As an engineer in the information retrieval team at Meltwater you'll be building petabyte-scale search and analytics systems using the latest technologies.

Our Gothenburg team owns the most central part of Meltwater's products, the search platform which plays a key role in the retrieval and analysis of all of the company's editorial and social media assets. Every day we add hundreds of millions of news articles, tweets and Facebook posts to our repositories.
On the software side we're heavy on Java and Kotlin, with some Spring, RxJava and plenty of microservices thrown in. We use Python for data science, machine learning and linear optimization purposes. Long experience with Java or Python is however not a requirement, and we may indeed prefer a polyglot with a demonstrated history of rapidly acquiring new skills.
We run on AWS and are heavy users of AWS services, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Terraform, Docker; with a sprinkling of other database and messaging technologies depending on the need. Having an interest in search engines, big data analytics, infrastructure, systems engineering and distributed systems would definitely help you in this job.
