Based in Stockholm, we're a passionated team committed to make female health accessible to women all around the world by leveraging tech (such as ML and NLP) to build a women's health clinic in the privacy of your own phone.Currently we are focusing on building a chatbot that enable women to track and plan their period, understand their fertility and get answers to important questions about reproductive and sexual health. Addressing the low middle income countries (LMIC) gives us plenty of room to explore and essentially help expose new markets and its potential to the rest of the world.About the roleWorking as a Backend Engineer at Grace Health, you will be playing a key role in creating a highly scalable yet flexible platform that will enable us to achieve our mission and help Grace Health grow as a business. You will join our team to help design and develop the Grace platform that continually learns from our users by analysing complex data sets in order to deliver reliable and easy to use insights that we can feed back to the users - essentially women across the globe.Basically new challenges everyday! What you'll doJoin the founding team of one of Europes most exciting femtech startups and play a key role in developing the core technologySolve problems for a living ;-) Design, develop and deploy backend systems with a focus on scalability, high availability, and low latencyBuild and operate infrastructure, toolset and data pipelines using GCPCollaborate cross-functionally with the other teams at Grace Health and be able to communicate your work to colleagues and management You need toHave experience and understand systems and patterns, as well as be able to quickly analyse complex problems and deliver efficient solutions;Have a problem solving attitude and mindsetHave a solid understanding of micro services and experience working with containers and orchestration tools;Have experience modelling and processing data in NoSQL and relational databases;Have experience with large-scale distributed systems;You will fit right in if youHave extensive experience building APIs on top of Node.js (but you can talk to us even if you don't)You think a working proof-of-concept is the best way to make a point, and you thrive on the belief that quality doesn't have to be compromised to achieve speedYou feel ownership over everything you ship, and you never think of code as "released" by your team until you're sure it's workingYou are hungry, a problem solver and want to keep learning every dayYou are autonomous and responsible, and work well in a distributed teamsSolid communication skills and a good understanding of ML and NLP are big pluses.You are preferably based out of Stockholm but willing to go to one of our markets with the team if needed.
