Your Workday
As a backend developer at Karma, you will join an exciting and fast-paced environment, filled with ambitious and energetic people who are passionate about their work. Karma's office is located in the heart of Stockholm at Klarabergsgatan. Do you want to take a break from a long coding session? How about a game of ping-pong or help your team members prepare brunch for the office? This is a place where you will have a lot of fun. As a backend developer, you will belong to the engineering team that is responsible for the web platform and the app. You will be responsible for getting the app up and running from a backend perspective, building and maintaining APIs. Among other things, you will be responsible for making sure the payment services in the app are functional, backend filtering, map navigation logic, and you're involved in setting up processes for rollout, release, and hosting. Furthermore, you'll protect Karma's services by managing and setting up Google Cloud Armor. In your workday, you will work cross-boundary with other departments and other external parties.
Who are you?
Competencies Requirements
• 3-5 years of experience working with backend development
• Great knowledge in Typescript (node, react, react native) GraphQL, PostgreSQL), and GCP.
• Big plus if you have worked with Kubernetes and Terraform
• Experience working with an app that has over 100k users
• Based in Sweden or UK
• Must be able to speak and understand English,
• Speaking Swedish is a plus, not a requirements
We are extra interested in you if you have an interest in food, have worked in foodtech and/or sustainability. As a person, we believe that you are social and like to work with different people and that you want to be involved. Furthermore, you are passionate about your work and take ownership. Critical thinkers are great, but we are looking for solution-oriented people with a great positive "can do'' attitude.
