In all honesty:
We are building a TV streaming service and we are looking for smart, TV loving developers to join us. Our service is up and running, serving our customers, but we have high ambitions and big plans for new, cool things, and we need skilled backend devs to make these things a reality. Do you see programming as a part of you life, not just your job? Are you interested in new, cool technologies? Do you read books, papers, and blogs on these topics and experiment with it on your own free time? If you do, you've got the interest that we're looking for!

Our systems and services are in a state of continuous development and improvement and we wish to kick it up a notch to stay ahead of the demands of an ever growing user base. We are about to build new, cool stuff, as well as cut some major technical dept. If you are the kind of person who get a little bit happy when you get to build new stuff and rebuild something instead of a never ending stream of patchwork, then this could very well be the place for you.
We work in tiny teams and the teams decide how things are done (no bull, we actually mean it). There will be times when we have to scramble and work outside of our specific areas, but it has a way of working out very well (a tester once stepped up and wrote a patch for our Android client when all of the Android devs were away on vacation).
Wishlist (Things we think we want but if you think you know better we'd be happy to hear your case):
Education:
You probably have a Bachelor of computer science or a Masters in computer science. If you lack both of these but are the God of Code, we still want to see you!
Work experience:
• You know your way around a GNU/Linux box, (installation, configuration, what makes them tick and where the magic comes from)
• You know what we mean when we say: media operation/transcoding systems, data analytics, infrastructure, and DevOps
• You have done things with open source components
• If you have worked with Scala, Node.js/CoffeeScript, AWS, Kafka, or Cassandra we certainly will not hold it against you.
• Also, agile! (How could we write a job description without mentioning this at least once? There would be literally no hits in any recruitments database without this very bullet point.)

Magine's goal is to give the viewer a personalized TV-experience with more freedom to watch what you want, whenever you want and how you want. We focus on the end-user and offers live- and recorded TV-material on a global platform.
