Our stack is mainly based on NodeJS, with code written in TypeScript. To excel in the backend team at Kaching you should have a strong interest in system design. We have built our platform on the CQRS pattern and make use of event sourcing. This allows us to be very flexible and opens up a lot of opportunities in the long run.
We really like TypeScript, but anyone with strong knowledge in NodeJS and common developer sense can swiftly get onboard. What's important to us is the ability to come up with technical solutions and be a great colleague and team member. You write excellent code but you don't lose friends over a semicolon.
