Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) is a world-leading supplier of equipment and complete applications expertise for the mining and construction industries. SMC's unit in Svedala is a global center for the development, production, and management of rock crushers used in mining and quarrying.
We are now looking for a seasoned marketer to support our global offering in Mining Crushing & Screening. You will be a member of the global marketing team for Surface Mining, but the position is based in Svedala, Sweden.
Key performance areas
As a B2B Marketing Professional, you will work within the global Surface Mining marketing team, focusing on supporting the business needs in Mining Crushing & Screening. Your responsibilities include three product lines, all relevant equipment from other Sandvik Segments, and the Aftermarket offering to support the application. Your key contacts are located in Sweden, Germany and the USA. As owner of internal and external communications, you are involved in all business phases from product positioning to customer events. Your specific activities include:
• Building the Sandvik brand and value proposition in Mining Crushing and Screening
• Working with regional sales and marketing teams, e.g., in Australia and China, to support increased sales
• Networking internally to identify and promote new orders, successful demonstrations, or new sales opportunities
• Ensuring successful marketing for product launches
• Supporting the global Surface Mining marketing team in various projects or shared deliverables
• Establishing close cooperation with marketers and product managers in other Segments, supporting them and gaining their support to best promote Sandvik in each application
• Identifying and initiating the development of deliverables such as brochures, photographs/video, case stories, advertisements, press releases, articles and presentations
• Managing information on the intranet and Internet
• Being a contributing editor for internal newsletters
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a university degree and experience in a business-to-business industrial environment. A degree in business or a technical field, including some formal training in marketing, is advantageous. Whether your work experience is in sales, product management, or product marketing, you have a demonstrated ability for good communications.
As a self-starter and doer, you take initiatives, coordinate and facilitate, or use the authority that comes with your expertise to overcome conflicting priorities or unclear direction. You either already have or will develop fluency in InDesign, Photoshop, and PowerPoint.
Fluent spoken and written English is an absolute must; experience in German a plus. Overseas travel is initially limited, but will increase as you build rapport by demonstrating your ability to, e.g., create on-site video and case stories, organize customer events, or deliver sales training.
