WHAT WILL YOU DO? Your team, the Core Technologies Media & Graphics, is working both closely to the newest products and has the long term responsibility regarding the technology agenda of Axis video compression, audio and graphics. This position is to extend the video part of the team, to enable further development on different camera platforms.
You will play a very important role using all your engineering abilities, working with state-of-the-art hardware and tools, to create and form our leading technology regarding video aspects of the camera.
Video aspects in the network camera is consisting of smart handling of compression, introducing video compression standards and most of all, close collaboration with other subsystem or the surveillance system of video handling. You will;
Be a key player in the development process of our video technology platform.
Investigate and implement video use cases and acceleration on hardware.
Develop new functionality to enhance our technology portfolio as well as looking ahead and be part of the specifications for coming platforms and products.
You will be working closely to the end usage of video by interacting with end-customers, system integrators and Axis departments to ensure best use-case adaption and effective development. There are possibilities for traveling but is not a requirement.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS? You are an experienced, gifted software developer who loves to contribute to a great team spirit and technology drive. You are humble, open minded, eager and willing to learn. You always take full pride in delivering quality on time. In order to be successful in this position we believe that you are flexible, have great engineering skills and an excellent attention to details.
You have a keen interest and strong skills in software development and your strong technology interest has probably turned into different project of your own, or with friends.
You embrace teamwork and have experience or are willing to welcome different Agile working methologies used in our projects.
You have preferably a Master's degree in computer science, physics, electrical engineering or similar and are a dedicated individual with a strong personal drive and skill to learn. Your English is fluent, both written and verbal.
