Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our delivery team. You will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining data pipelines and data architectures to support data-driven decision making within our clients' organization. You will work closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize data needs, and you will be responsible for implementing scalable and reliable data pipelines, lakes and warehouses to support these needs.
Key responsibilities:
Design and build data pipelines and data architectures.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize data needs.
Ensure that data pipelines are scalable, maintainable, and reliable.
Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues as needed.
Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in data engineering, especially on AWS.
This is a hands-on role and will require a great deal of "can-do" attitude!
We have a hybrid office working model and like to occasionally meet the clients' team at their offices.
Qualifications
We believe that you are open-minded to new ideas and flexible when meeting new challenges to succeed in this role. You have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively to deliver on time and with quality. You enjoy collaborating and are comfortable sharing your knowledge with your colleagues and clients.
Key requirements:
You have been working at least 3 years as a Data Engineer, building data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Java or Scala is a plus.
Good knowledge of data modeling with techniques/approaches like data vault, snowflake or star.
Experience in AWS services such as AWS Kinesis, AWS Glue, AWS S3, AWS Redshift, and AWS Athena
Experience with data mesh architecture is a plus
BS degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
You are fluent in English in order to communicate with various stakeholders both technical and business oriented.
