At Sandvik Cormorant, we have a solid tradition of developing unique solutions for the tooling industry, and we're proud to be state of the art within our field. An important key to our success is the truly game changing automation approach, a digitalization effort we have been driving and leading. Our automated solutions, in design, construction and manufacturing preparation are unique and constantly evolving.
Are you interested in software-based automation and industrial design? We're expanding our team to further develop our automation platforms - and are now looking for an Automation System Developer to join our team of experts.

What we do
In line with the Sandvik Coromant Strategy, the mission of our department is to further drive operational excellence in our global organization and meet the increasing needs for even more automation, flexibility, and speed. We develop and support programming platforms that enable design- and construction-domain-experts as well as specialists in production preparation or sales, all with limited programming knowledge, to automate parts of the company processes. The platforms exchange data with many IT Systems in the IT landscape like SAP Order Management, Sales, CAD-, CAM and MES systems.

What you do
One of your main areas is to work with our internally developed platforms. You work in collaboration with colleagues in our team and with other teams in the company including R&D and IT. Since we're moving away from mainframe automation platforms towards modern environments you contribute to the ongoing development of our sustainable platforms for engineering automation.
This position is based primarily in Sandviken, Sweden, however, we're open for other Sandvik Coromant locations to work from. We offer you the chance to work part time remotely (60% on site and 40% flexible). Occasional travel is a natural part of your job.

About you
We're looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent training. Some experience in software development is an advantage and experience with, for example APL, container techniques and/or Java is a bonus. You need to be passionate about driving automation. As we operate in an international setting, it's important that you have good English skills, both verbally and in writing.
We place great value on your personal qualities, characterized by your drive and ability to take your own initiatives. The position involves contact with different stakeholders, being communicative and able to share your knowledge with others is essential. You're a team player with a creative mindset and the ability to finalize things all the way to the end. We further value your analytical ability to connect your work to the company's daily operations. You're passionate about driving change and developing your skills further.

Our culture
Innovation is in our DNA and we are proud to shape the future of manufacturing in close collaboration with our customers and partners. We believe in an inclusive, equal and open-minded culture, and we nurture our diversities to form a solid foundation for achieving great results. Add fair and rewarding benefits, as well as many different career options. Are you intrigued? Visit our website, LinkedIn or Facebook page to get to know us further.
