As an automation engineer you will be responsible for development of existing Automation systems, and implementation of new Automation systems as well as BI solutions. Our client is a world-leading medtech company that develops solutions to make healthcare more efficient worldwide. Their system is market leading in sample-to-answer PCR diagnostic testing with the largest global installed base and operating in over 180 countries. They were one of the first to develop accurate tests for Covid-19 and are a company at the forefront when it comes to medical technology development. Through close collaboration with your co-workers and manager, you will have the right conditions to succeed in the role and take your career to the next level.
Your team is expected to provide input to drive innovation and develop systems, equipment, etc, to improve manufacturing in mechanical-, control systems-, data collection and analytic tools areas. The team is responsible of the whole development process from idea to first validated installation i.e., concept generation, engineering studies, design testing, prototype fabrication and first installation.

The assignment will start as a consulting assignment through us at Academic Work. As long as everyone is satisfied with the collaboration, there are good chances to be over-recruited directly by our client.
ARBETSUPPGIFTER
The role involves a large variety of tasks where the daily work may differ, but you will, among other things:
• Work with installation and continuous improvements to new and existing automation systems
• Assists manufacturing operations in problem solving with regards to the automation systems.
• Be the technical partner to the Operations teams throughout the life cycle of new and existing products.
• Configure, program, test and troubleshoot PLC based control systems and associated components and User Interface (UI) software.
• Leads, provides support, coordinates or participates in operations-related activities required to new equipment:
VI SÖKER DIG SOM
• Degree in Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in Controls Engineering
• 2+ year of experience of automation engineering
• 1+ year of experience with PLC
• Excellent level of English
It would be a plus if you:
• Has good knowledge of Swedish
• Experience from working in a highly regulated industry
• Experience of working with communication protocols
