As an Automation Engineer in Konecranes' Swedish engineering team, you have a key role in ensuring a high-standard delivery to our customers. You are responsible for the technical solution and technical support, focusing on price-efficient modernisations and optimising the technical solutions to customer needs. This is a new role profile on the team, so you will have the chance to help create structure and processes for how the work is managed. Your workdays are spent both doing office work, and out in the field, travelling regularly (mostly) within Sweden.
In this position, you report directly to the Operations Support Manager.
Your key responsibilities
Supporting Sales with the choice of technical solutions, including quotation calculation
Technical description of solutions and delivery of technical documentation
Designing PLC programs
Commissioning of automation systems and locally designed applications
Technical support to local service organisation
Working in close contact with automation teams in Global Modernisations and ETO to ensure a Konecranes delivery according to the latest standards
What should you bring?
At least 4 years of proven experience working with industrial automation
A good technical understanding
Strong PLC programming skills
Proficiency with using Siemens S7 and TIA Portal, Human Machine Interface, and frequency converters
Fluent spoken and written English
A driver's licence

You can prioritize your tasks and enjoy working independently but are equally good at teamwork and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results.
