The Software Platform Development team is responsible to deliver competitive and scalable SW architecture, libraries and tools for packaging line equipment. To maintain our position as world leader in the food & beverage industry, we now see the need to extend our organization within Packaging Line Embedded Automation. Therefore, we are now looking for an Automation Engineer focusing on Rockwell Automation PLC systems.
What you will do
As our new Automation Engineer - Rockwell SW tools & FW, you will work in close collaboration with our equipment development and supplier management organisations and you will focus on:
Be our specialist in the Rockwell Automation Industrial Automation Software Tools area
Drive the evaluation and qualification of new versions of Software Tools and Firmware used in Tetra Pak packaging equipment
Drive harmonisation between development teams by creating and maintaining guidelines
Support colleagues regarding technical issues in your area
Be the primary technical contact person towards Rockwell Automation regarding Software Tools and Firmware
This position will be located in Lund. You will travel around 20% of your time.
Who you are
To be successful in this position, you truly enjoy industrial automation. We are looking for a person with a structured and analytical mindset as well as a strong personal drive and a very high interest in technical solutions. We believe that you are a good team player and a recognized informal authority as well as a natural seniority that support your less experienced colleagues.
You have extensive experience of RSLogix5000/Studio5000 and related PLC and Motion Control systems as well as extensive experience of the complete software engineering process to build equipment control programs based on PLC and Motion Control systems. Experience of additional tool families such as RSNetworx, RSLinx, FactoryTalk and MotionAnalyzer is beneficial. You probably have a University degree within Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or similar. It is required that you have excellent English skills both verbally and written as well as strong presentation skills.
