We in Advance Engineering and Core Technology (AE&CT) are on an exciting and challenging journey. To speed up the technology shift we are now recruiting several Automation and Control System Engineers within different areas of expertise to help drive development and implementation of new and existing technology. E.g. apps that will help the operator of our machines be more efficient and environmentally friendly including future features like tele-operated and autonomous functions to support the operator. We also develop control solutions for propulsion and driveline components. The areas for automation and control plays an important role in the future and change towards new sustainable and efficient solutions within our teams working with automation, electro-mobility, propulsion, and transmission.

Who are you?
You have a strong interest in Automation and/or Controls System development and have experience in some of the listed technical fields below. You are up for almost any challenge and enjoy exciting and various assignments. The main work tasks will be development of control algorithms/functions including requirement handling, design, implementation, and test. You are an open and creative person with a can-do attitude. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. The role also includes participating in continuous improvement of our ways of working and you will be encouraged to dare to fail, innovate, and always invest time in personal development. In Advanced Engineering and Core Technology we have an agile setup and we really support each other, so getting into our work is easy.

You have probably a Master/Bachelor of Science in mechatronics, robotics, computer science or similar and good knowledge and experience in some of the technologies and skills below:
Model based design with Matlab/Simulink
C/C++
Linux, RTOS
Communication protocol like CAN/LIN/Ethernet
Embedded development
Mechatronics Engineering
Experience in one or several domains of automation (for instance control theory, path planning, picture recognition, sensor fusion...)
Functional Safety
Agile methodology like SCRUM/SAFe
