Klarna is growing rapidly and one of the most challenging aspects ahead is to leverage data by creating new tools and improve decision making. The growing complexity of our product offering, the different populations using our services and multiple geographies pose a unique challenge in terms of analytics and automation.

Within the risk division the Applied Analytics & Automation department is in charge of the development, deployment and maintenance of all of Klarna’s automatic decision models, tool development and automations. With the use of both industry methods and unorthodox classification techniques, the team innovates to minimize losses, maximize profit and improve the product offering.

As an automation analyst you will be expected to create and improve the internal tools, to identify and optimize user behavior, as well as to create automatic decision systems that make Klarna’s business model possible.

Tasks:

• Preparing and processing large amounts of data

• Automate decisions and manual processes

• Create tools that enable better decisions and analysis

• Explore and utilize new data mining solutions and techniques

• Constantly strive to explore data sources and exploit their contents, ensuring data quality

Requirements:

• Highly analytical and structured

• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English and strong interpersonal skills

• Strong ability and desire to learn and use new tools and methods

• SQL (postgreSQL is a merit)

• (Web-)programming: e.g. PHP, Ruby or Python 

• Basic web design: HTML / CSS / JS (jQuery)
