The section Electrical Performance, is organised under the department Electrical System Design in unit Electrics/Electronics & E-Propulsion. The attribute area Electrical Performance is responsible for establishing requirements and verification methods, to ensure that Volvo Car Group products meet customer requirements in terms of electrical reliability, electrical safety and balanced electrical energy for the complete electrical system in the car. The scope for Electrical Performance covers requirements on complete vehicle level, through function and system level to component level. We are 15 employees within the group, including experienced attribute leaders as well as experts within electronics hardware.

As an Attribute Leader at Electrical Performance you will participate in the development of requirements based on annual activities such as? lessons learned, technology intelligence, field data analysis, competitor car benchmarking and participation in standardisation activities. Would you like to work at the electrical HW design competence centre team, considered as the automotive electrical HW expert team at Volvo Car Group? Main responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and balance attribute requirements
• In early project phase you will make sure that applicable requirements are distributed to the design areas and that the requirements are agreed
• During the project you will be involved in requirements balancing, i.e. to evaluate conflict of interests with other attribute areas and find an agreed balance of the requirements
• You will continuously support the project to ensure that the technical solution will meet the requirements
• You will be responsible for status reports to the project management and that agreed requirements deviations are documented in accordance with current practices
• Support the organisation in electrical HW design issues and questions

Required qualifications

• BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• At least five years' experience from HW development of electronics or electrical distribution system for automotive
• Experience from requirements development and leading design tasks
• Solid knowledge of car technologies in general
• Skills in analytical tools (e.g. FMEA, Six Sigma)
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Driving license B
• Knowledge in applicable automotive standards and legal demands regarding electrical safety is meritorious

• Good at taking initiatives
• Having good collaboration skills
• Capacity to drive several issues simultaneously
