Attribute Leader Passive Safety
To the module team Vehicle Attribute we are looking for an Attribute Leader to the Safety team. The team is responsible for leading the Safety attribute in vehicle projects.
The role
As an Attribute Leader for Safety you and your team colleagues (Attribute Leaders, CAE-, test and design engineers) are responsible for the overall vehicle safety performance to ensure that the final product corresponds to the expected market requirements. This includes legal requirements, inhouse targets as well as consumer ratings (Eu-NCAP, CNCAP, US-NCAP etc..)
We are looking for a person with an ability to work independently and take decisions to deliver according to targets and project plans in a changing environment. You have a flexible mind set with ability to lead change and development and take decisions. You are willing to help others and to ask for help when needed and have excellent cooperation, networking and team working skills, combined with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities and tasks
* Develop and set complete vehicle- and system requirements for the projects.
* Develop verification plans for the project. (CAE and Test activities).
* Support engineering departments in development of specifications, concept selections, supplier evaluations and problem solving.
* Report status, overall timing, issues and solution proposals for the Safety attribute to project management.
* Develop and set up test methods for evaluating complete vehicle and system performance vs requirements.
* Prepare test specifications and support with analysis after test
* Task Force lead when needed to find best proposal to improve performance
* Plan and support benchmark of new technology and competitor performance.
Requirements:
* M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Attribute engineering experience in the area of passive safety
* Leadership skills with ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach team members
* You are fluent in English both written and spoken
* Cultural awareness
