The section Propulsion Diagnostics & Dependability has the mission to ensure that the development of the next generation engines reflects our brand essence of "Designed around you" and that all legal and costumer attributes regarding Emissions, OBD and Vehicle Propulsion dependability are met. This position is in the group Legal Requirements and Verification and we mainly work with OBD attribute features and verification in the last development phase. China is a growing market and consequently we have a lot of cooperation with the China organization. Now we need to strengthen our workforce with another Attribute Leader for OBD. Are you up for a challenging role with great developing opportunities?

What you'll do

You will work with future legal requirements in different markets. You will perform legal studies, discuss technical solutions with the OBD department and have technical discussions with authorities mainly in Sweden, US and China. Your work tasks will cover the entire life cycle from development of new legal requirements until product launch and beyond. You participate in working groups for new legislation development and support OBD homologations worldwide.

You will work in an international ambitious team and have a close cooperation with the other attribute leaders, calibration leaders, project managers, verification engineers and the homologation department. Your responsibility will be to interpret, analyse and communicate OBD legal requirements, further you will be part of delivering next generation certification documentation. You will mentor OBD development, verification and certification engineers.

The work includes travel abroad, where you will represent Volvo in meetings with authorities.

Do you fit the profile?

We see that you have a Master of Science or equivalent documented experience and long experience from working with OBD. You possess knowledge about diagnostic systems and its functions as well as knowledge in OBD legislation.

You have the ability to travel in work and if you have previous experience from project-leading in an international environment is meritorious. It is crucial that you have the ability to summarize and present the status of your work. Further, you have social skills and enjoy networking, you need to be a great communicator!

You are structured and accurate with a strategic mindset. We see that you have a positive attitude; you like to share knowledge and inspire others to reach the common goal. You need to be self-driven in order to fully succeed.
