Within R&D, the ART Engine Controls & Diagnostics is responsible for combustion engine control and diagnostics software, and its calibration for hybrid powertrains. We lead the development of robust control solutions with significant parts of in-house development. We launch hundreds of variants of production files every year and improve our software development process continuously to deliver high quality. The work we perform has a major impact on product quality and reliability as well as legal compliance.This position is challenging, fun and diverse, and offers possibilities within a continuously growing area that has a bright and exciting future ahead and where you have a direct influence on our end product. Efficient combustion engines is one of the most crucial components in our future hybrid cars, and will continue to be so. we are a highly motivated group that enjoys working together on complex technology challenges!

What you'll do
As Attribute Leader OBD at Engine Controls & Diagnostics you will work with future legal requirements in different markets. You will perform legal studies, discuss technical solutions with the OBD department and have technical discussions with authorities. Your work tasks will cover the entire life cycle from development of new legal requirements until product launch and beyond. You will work in an international ambitious team and have a close cooperation with calibration leaders, project managers, verification engineers and the homologation department. You will be part of delivering next generation certification documentation and participate in international working groups for new legislation development. You need to mentor OBD development, verification and certification engineers as well as support OBD homologations worldwide. The work includes travel abroad, where you will represent our company in meetings with authorities.

You and your skills
You have:
• Excellent knowledge in the area of diagnostics with at least 8 years of experience from working on OBD including legislation
• Bachelor/Master degree within engineering or physics
• Broad and proven knowledge of combustion engines and hybrid powertrains
• You are fluent in spoken and written English

Meritorious
• You have been leading a project in an international environment
• You offer a good understanding of powertrain design within combustion, emission, air charge estimation, thermal management, certification, homologation, applied mathematics,
fluid physics, metrology, control system theory, model based/predictive control or diverse software creation processes
• You are goal and result oriented, with a high level of engagement and a strong enthusiasm
• You are fluent in spoken and written Swedish
