Attribute Leader - Energy
As attribute Leader for Energy you and your colleagues are overall responsible for
achieving a correctly balanced vehicle performance, ensuring that the final product corresponds to the market and technical specifications, and to target users' needs and expectations. The general work method is to define, communicate, follow up, and if needed balance, requirements and guidelines related to Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Contamination and Fuel Economy.
Responsibilities and tasks
Car project activities:
• Responsibility for Attribute Energy including: Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Contamination, Fuel Economy, (and occasionally support for Tightness, Environmental Impact, Performance & Drivability).
• Attribute Leader Energy for a Platform and Top Hat(s).
• Develop and set complete vehicle- and system requirements for a platform and Top Hat(s).
• Store the requirements to relevant databases.
• Communicate defined requirements by translating them to cad-geometry, as technical input to Design and Engineering department.
• Create verification plans for the Energy attributes where needed. (CAE and Test activities)
• Support engineering departments in development of specifications, concept selections and supplier evaluations
• Creative problem solving/Design support by working out constructive solution proposals
• Report status, issues and solution proposals for the Energy attributes
• Report and improve overall status of all Energy attribute issues (No. of open, closed, :)
• Deliver cross Energy attribute input to other attributes as well as to design units (e.g. Weight, Aerodynamics to Fuel Economy)
• Support that overall project status for the Energy attributes are reported
o Status = Red/Yellow/Green or actual attribute levels and timing vs gates/milestones.
• Report Energy attribute status to Design Verification Reviews.
• Contribute in developing, storage and usage of Energy Test method.
• Benchmark new technology and competitor performance.
Profile and background
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering (Design, Mechanical or Industrial)
• Experience from evaluating aerodynamics, thermodynamics, contamination and fuel economy
• Attribute Engineering experience
• Knowledge of CAE tools such as CFD Computational Fluid Dynamics, Car maker, AVL Drive, AVL Cruise or similar
• Knowledge of automotive architecture definitions, standards and requirements
• Strong personal drive and motivation with ability to take initiative and drive issues
• Analytic and problem solving mindset
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with senior management and other organizations
• Passion for engineering and product excellence
• Self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, growing and developing
Organization
• Fluent in English
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
