Attribute Leader, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)

At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As ATTRIBUTE LEADER, EMC within the section Electrical Attributes you will be responsible for the EMC requirement handling. The group is responsible for the Attribute EMC in complete cars, for design guidelines, requirements, analyses, simulation and tests in complete cars. As the technical advisor you will support other attribute leaders and component owners during the development phase to meet the future requirements and our customers' needs. You will also be responsible for the EMC reviews in the virtual series and in supplier requests for changes.

In this position you will build and maintain a wide personal network both within R&D, as well as in the accessories and special vehicle organisation. You have degrees of freedom to form your deliveries and to develop your own skills, both technically as well as in the area of leadership. Job profile:

• Be responsible of writing and deploying EMC requirements
• Represent the team in requirement matters related to legacy and legal requirements
• Act as an EMC specialist during virtual reviews in the V-series
• Technical advisor in the guided fault tracing development team
• Keep track of deviations and secure that they are handled

Your profile:

• Independent and able to lead development efforts, with a strong delivery orientation
• Strong in communication with great pedagogical skills
• Team player and experience of cooperating across entire organisations
• Able to summarize and report your deliveries to internal and external stakeholders
• Documented experience from the EMC area is required
• University degree within electronics, physics or equivalent working experience
• Fluent in English both verbal and written
• Meritorious is experience of electrical HW design, other electrical base technologies
• Preferably experience from the automotive industry
