Attribute leader - Infotainment & Connectivity

At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. As ATTRIBUTE LEADER for Infotainment and Connectivity you will be a part of Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Infotainment attribute center which is a newly established competence center within Electronics and Electrical Systems Engineering. The center is responsible for building the base in terms of technical attribute strategies, attribute requirements, methodology development, analysis tools as well as attribute management in our future products. The HMI and Infotainment work is done in a dynamic and international environment in close cooperation with design departments, interaction design and active safety functions, as well as vehicle program management and suppliers.

The mission for Volvo Car Corporation is to gain the leadership position in the automotive industry within the customer's experience of car infotainment and connectivity and you will have a key role in this journey. As Attribute leader you will be responsible for development of the attribute from strategy to product. You will lead the work of communicating the requirements to the function owners, verify the requirements and perform assessments in the car projects.The attribute area of Infotainment and Connectivity consists of five sub areas: Audio performance, Visual performance, Navigation, Connectivity and Wireless.

Job profile:
• Perform attribute analysis on Complete Vehicle
• Create measurable requirements on Complete Vehicle level, Function level and System level
• Develop and document prerequisites regarding customer environment as a basis for attribute analysis, including taking part of customer research, legal requirements information, clinics, or participate in the test expeditions
• Plan and conduct competitive analysis as basis for attribute requirements
• Communicate and argue for the validity of the attribute requirements from a customer perspective.
• Verify that selected system solutions together have the ability to meet attribute requirement target levels at Complete Vehicle level

Your profile:
• University degree in Engineering, preferably Master of Science within Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics or Cognitive Science
• Knowledge of the attribute areas of Audio performance, Visual performance, Navigation, Connectivity and Wireless
• Working experience within a relevant field preferably within the attribute areas
• Good understanding of the automotive industry
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Decisive and result oriented
• Strategic and analytical mindset
• Engineering experience within interaction design and/or attribute development is meritorious
• Fluent in English, verbally and written
