Attribute Leader - Energy
As attribute Leader for Energy you and your colleagues are overall responsible for
achieving a correctly balanced vehicle performance, ensuring that the final product corresponds to the market and technical specifications, and to target users need and expectations. The general work method is to define, communicate, follow up, and if needed balance, requirements and guidelines related to Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Contamination and Fuel Economy.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Responsibility for managing the Energy attribute within platform projects.
- Areas to cover: Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Contamination, Fuel Economy and Advanced Engineering projects.
- Develop and support the cooperation between CEVT and Geely Energy teams.
- Develop and set complete vehicle- and system requirements for multiple platforms.
- Develop verification plans for the attribute area including both CAE and Test activities.
- Support engineering departments and design studio in styling, development of specifications, concept selections, supplier evaluations and problem solving.
- Report overall timing, status, issues and solution proposals for the Energy attribute to project and in Design Verification Reviews.
- Contribute in developing, storage and usage of requirements and test method database.
- Plan and support benchmark of new technology and competitor performance.
- Propose, support or lead advanced engineering activities needed to support future products.
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical, Physics or Industrial).
- Attribute Engineering experience.
- Experience from leading Energy attribute areas within automotive industry.
- Knowledge of CAE tools such as CFD Computational Fluid Dynamics, Car maker, AVL Drive, AVL Cruise or similar.
- Experience from physical testing within wind-tunnel, climate chambers, fuel economy test cells and test expeditions.
- Strong personal drive and motivation with ability to take initiative, plan and drive issues.
- Analytic and problem solving mindset.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with senior management and other organizations.
- Passion for engineering and product excellence.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written.
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture.
