The section Vehicle Dynamics Centre is responsible for attribute setting, analysis and verification of Vehicle Dynamics, Braking and Driving assistance. The work includes objective testing and subjective evaluation of complete vehicles on proving grounds and in real traffic environment. Other important tasks are developing virtual models and performing simulation.
Volvo Cars aims to be a leader in Autonomous Drive. The Driving Assistance Attribute Team is working with driver support functionality and autonomous drive with a customer-centric perspective. We work in close collaboration with the development teams, with focus on the complete chain from benchmark, requirements, analysis, industrialization and final validation.
In the role as Attribute Leader Autonomous Drive, you are responsible for balancing requirements and analysis & verification. You will be the connection between different stakeholders, function owner and the project. As Attribute Leader it is important to understand the complete vehicle behavior and translate this to a premium customer experience.
Main responsibilities
* Building up the attribute strategy
* Initiate, support and follow up benchmarking, advanced engineering and operational development to create a long term foundation, which fulfils the strategy
* Set requirement to get the best balance of customer experience and system capability
* Perform attribute analysis on Complete Vehicle as Attribute leader in the area
* Develop verification methods
* Report attribute status to the project team
Required qualifications
* MSc in electrical, computer science, mechatronics or automotive engineering
* At least 5 years' experience from driving assistance development within the
automotive industry
* Knowledge and interest in developing analysis methods and requirement
* Fluent in English
* Driver's license (B-level) and driving experience
Personal qualities
* Able to take initiative and to identify and accomplish challenging objectives
* Strong analytical and communicating skills
* Ability to plan, conduct, summarize and report your work in a structured and thorough manner.
