Assurance and Control is part of the larger function Legal. Legal works directly with the Board of Skanska AB and the Group Leadership Team (GLT). We support them and other functions with legal advice. In addition, we work with legal areas such as Corporate Governance, Stock Exchange Rules, the Annual General Meeting, as well as Personal Data Protection, Trade Marks, other Regulatory matters and overall Legal Compliance.
Corporate Governance at Skanska includes the framework for how Skanska headquarter (HQ) and the Business Units (BU) are governed and controlled. This includes decision-making and division of responsibilities between the HQ and the BUs as well as assuring that we have the right processes and governing documents in place. Assurance and Control is a new function that will be responsible for establishing the new governance framework and follow-up on its implementation at HQ and in the BUs.
Position
As Assurance and Control Officer you will, together with the team, establish and implement a new framework for group governance and control. You will work together to with a team of experienced professionals, developing an appropriate assurance and compliance culture.
In this, you will work closely with BUs to support and advise in any changes and improvements to BU governance and control. You will support in monitoring status and effectiveness of BU governance arrangements and compliance with group requirements. This is done by supporting the BUs in the implementation and by performing checks and assurance reviews on all levels of BU operations including e.g. management systems, internal controls, compliance with group policies, procedures and standards.
Other responsibilities:
* Assist in performing a Control Self Assessment (based on a revised and improved Code Compliance) on the implementation of the framework by the BUs
* Assist in improving Enterprise Risk Management throughout the group in the short and long term
The position is based in Stockholm and you will be reporting to SVP Assurance and Control.
Your profile
As you will be part of a completely new function and way of working, you need to be comfortable with and motivated by of a high degree of change. You have a strong set of problem solving skills and strategic capabilities with the ability to deliver results.
You are a team player with focus on building trust in all work relations, but also with high integrity and the ability to influence and lead people in an informal way.
Skills and competencies:
* Appropriate academic degree (e.g. Finance, Engineering, Legal)
* 10-15 years of work experience
* Experience from major changes in large organization
* Understanding of construction and project development business
* Experience in establishing and driving implementation of governance structures
* Experience from audits and/or process reviews
