Summary

The Raoul Wallenberg Institute seeks candidates for the position of Department Associate (Research and Education Department) in the Lund office.

The responsibilities of the Department Associate are to provide administrative assistance on all aspects of the Department's operations. That entails maintaining the department's systems to ensure their smooth operation, support the organization of research related events and outreach activities taking place at the institute in Lund. There will be opportunities to provide research assistance on projects run by members of the Department and progressively assume junior research-related tasks. The work title would then become Department Associate and Junior Researcher and the employment position will increase.

The position is 20 %, starting on August 15 (on-boarding during June), and with a six-month probation period. You will be reporting to the Director of Research and Education.

A valid work permit in the EU is a requirement.

Proficiency in social science research methods is a merit. We particularly encourage applications from master students and graduates in social sciences.

The position will require working from the office in Lund.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Keep department documentation and policies organized, filed and updated
• Help organizing internal meetings in the department
• Provide administrative support to guest scholars and academic visitors
• Organize external events in Lund/Sweden and take care of logistics
• Produce presentational materials of the Department and coordinate with the RWI communication team regarding outreach
• Offer research assistance to projects run by Department members, including fundraising applications and editing publications.

• Proficiency in social science research methods (master level)
• Knowledge in the field of human rights
• Experience of administrative work
• Fluency in Swedish
