The Department of Computer Science (DIDA) is one of three departments at the Faculty of Computing. The department is BTH's largest department at BTH with 70 people. At the department, research is conducted in two major areas: computer science and engineering, as well as visual and interactive computer science. There are a number of different research projects in both areas.
Work description:
The position includes research and teaching at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level in the field of computer science, with a special focus on IT-/ computer security and related areas. The applicant is expected to participate actively in leading and developing the department's research and educational activities, as well as in applying for external research funding at both national and international level. Our research is applied and carried out in close collaboration with industry and the public sector. For the employment, we are looking for a candidate in one or more of the following areas:
• Security, privacy and governance av distributed systems, cloud services, communication networks and applications
• Digital survey technology, e.g., in the area of assessing security and data privacy
• Security in cyber-physical and AI-based systems
Teaching comprises courses, labs, and course development on undergraduate and graduate level in computer science and IT-/ computer security. In addition, teaching incluses advising student theses on undergraduate and advanced level. Furthermore, there is also the possibility of co-supervising PhD students.
The teaching at undergraduate level is mainly in Swedish, while the teaching at graduate and postgraduate level is mainly in English. We expect a non-Swedish-speaking employee to acquire sufficient knowledge of Swedish within three years to be able to teach in Swedish and communicate with the university's units/ functions in Swedish.
Eligibility:
A person is qualified for employment as an Associate senior lecturer if they have obtained a doctoral degree or equivalent scientific competence. Primary consideration is given to applicants who have reached eligibility no later than five years before the application deadline.

In addition to the requirements described in the work description, eligibility requirements and assessment criteria for the position, the following degrees, competencies and experiences are considered meritorious:
• PhD in IT-/computer security or related field.
• Publications in highly ranked international conferences or journals.
• Documented experience of writing and winning research grant applications.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
Placement: Karlskrona.
Employment: 100%.
Commencement: To be agreed.
Duration: Tenure track; initially 4 years with a right to be promoted to a permanent senior lecturer position when the assessment criteria for promotion are fulfilled.
