The candidate will work at the Sahlgrenska Cancer Center, a center within the University of Gothenburg in close association with Sahlgrenska University Hospital. The center is part of a strategic research effort focused on cancer within the Sahlgrenska Academy and consists of a mixture of basic and clinical research with translational ambitions. A research assistant position is now advertised by Associate Professor Anders Stahlberg at the Sahlgrenska Cancer Center.
Job assignments
We are working with projects that aim to increase our understanding of tumor initiation and development. Within the project you will be working with clinical samples, experimental techniques and handle experimental data.
Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and service oriented team player with great interpersonal and organizational skills. Suitable background is an MSc in molecular biology / biomedical / biotechnology, lab science or equivalent degree. Experience in ultrasensitive sequencing techniques and development of sequencing techniques within cancer and immunology is required and considered as a very strong merit. Ability to work under pressure and in a team, organizational skills and good knowledge in English is essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic person, who combines technical expertise with good communication skills and team working capabilities. A candidate should have a strong desire to help other researchers in their work, but also the motivation to work independently.
