The Institute of Clinical Sciences is one of six Institutes within Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of
Gothenburg. We conduct research and education that puts people's health and quality of life in focus. We represent 16 disciplines. Through a fruitful collaboration with the healthcare and Sahlgrenska University Hospital, we have developed joint projects and meeting places that benefits both health care and research.

The Center for Bionics and Pain Research is formed as an interdisciplinary collaboration between the University of Gothenburg, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, and Chalmers University of Technology, aimed at developing and clinically implement novel technologies to restore sensorimotor function and relieve pain due to sensorimotor impairment. This position will be hosted at the University of Gothenburg, Department of Orthopaedics, a part of this new center.

Job assignments
The position contains experimental design and implementation. The assignment includes analysis, publication of experimental results, technology development, verification, and implementation. The position is a multi-disciplinary collaboration with national and international collaborators in engineering and medicine.

Qualifications
To qualify as an associate researcher the applicant should hold a bachelor's degree in a subject relevant to the project. Furthermore, hands on experience with gait analysis of normal population and lower limb amputees (plus analysis of kinematic and kinetic gait data) is required. It would be advantageous to have experience in human clinical trials in this field and working knowledge of osseointegrated (bone anchored) implants. Multidisciplined applicants will be favored; experience with clinical teams as well as engineering and manufacturing will be considered a bonus. It is understood that the applicant has good general communication skills in English (both orally and in writing).

Employment
The employment is limited (temporary) for 12 months, 100 % of full-time and is placed at the Department of Orthopaedics at Institute of Clinical Sciences. Starting date; 2021-01-15
