Job description
We are looking for a university lecturer or associate professor for the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, that will be placed in the research group Chemical Environmental Science in the Energy and Materials division. The post is a full time tenure appointment, which includes teaching at all levels, from undergraduate to postgraduate, mainly in the area of chemically related environmental and health problems and life cycle assessment, supervision of PhD students and conducting research. Main responsibility for several courses and participation in planning, administration and development of courses given by the research group is included.
At Chemical Environmental Science, activities are today mainly directed towards assessment of the impact on environment and sustainable development of chemical products and processes, from a life cycle perspective, in this application described as Sustainable Chemical Engineering Systems.
The applicant should be able to collaborate with industrial, academic and governmental partners and also be capable of successfully applying for external grants for the research. Your own research and the PhD students are financed primarily with external grants.
Qualifications
To be qualified, the applicant must have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field and documented pedagogical experience in this field (chemically related environmental and health problems and life cycle assessment). An engineering degree, especially within chemical engineering, is desirable. To be appointed Associate Professor, the applicant must have been qualified for the Swedish docent level (in Swedish "oavlönad docent"). If the applicant has not yet reached that qualification level, the position is designated Senior Lecturer. In that case the applicant is expected to become "oavlönad docent" within a few years and is then promoted to Associate Professor.
Experience from research within academia or qualified research and development within industry is highly valued.
The position puts high demands on the ability to communicate and cooperate with Chalmers’ students and personnel as well as external actors. The undergraduates are normally taught in Swedish; however the graduate level teaching is in English. Thus good language skills in English are required.

7. Copies of the applicant's best scientific publications (not more than 10)
8. Copies of a maximum of 10 other publications (such as pedagogy, and popular science) in support of pedagogical and other merits
