Position:
The position covers equal parts of teaching in our Bachelor's and Master's programs in physical electronics and research at our strong research environment EIS (
www.hh.se/ite ). More specifically, the research concerns high-frequency electronics, nanoelectronics, new types of electronic materials and building practices for future embedded electronic systems with applications in, for example, Internet of Things.
Qualifications:
The applicant must hold a doctoral degree in physical electronics/electronics/physics. Strong emphasis will be placed on experience in teaching at different levels in relevant subjects, and proven teaching skills. The applicant must demonstrate a strong, currently active research profile in the above fields. The overall scientific production should be extensive in high-quality research journals. Documented experience from innovation, research and development in an industrial environment is also a strong merit.
Assessment criteria:
For appointment as associate professor, the following assessment criteria will be applied:
• Ability to conduct high-quality teaching and to develop courses at different levels
• Ability to conduct research of high international quality in physical electronics
• Documented experience from research in collaboration with industrial partners
• Experience in supervision of master/PhD students
• Ability to attract external funding
The specific weight given to each item above is decided in each case.
Salary level:
Individual salaries are applied at Halmstad University. The application should include salary requirements.
