As an ADME Scientist within the RIA DMPK Department you will play a key role in developing pulmonary in vitro drug absorption and disposition models, specifically to study the behaviour of small and non-small molecules (peptides, proteins, nucleotides) in the nano-scale range as well as to study the impact of delivery systems. You should bring to the group an excellent knowledge and practical experience of in vitro cell and tissue-based models of the lung and have cell culture experience. Additionally you should ideally have knowledge of pulmonary drug delivery and specific lung cell targeting of drugs and knowledge of rheological properties of mucus and drug behaviour in mucus.
The successful candidate will be expected to active in the DMPK laboratory, designing and conducting appropriate experiments and implementing new techniques leading to a minimum of one high quality scientific publication per year and one external scientific meeting presentation per year. Additionally the successful candidate will be expected to seek and implement collaborations with leading external scientific laboratories.

Essential requirements:
• Relevant Biomedical Ph.D with >3 years R&D experience
• Proven strong track record of innovative scientific delivery and publication in the field of pulmonary drug disposition
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong influencing, networking and team working skills.
