In this position, your primary duties will involve offering strategic legal advice and upholding the utmost standards of integrity within ABB. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines, as well as effectively managing legal risks. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of integrity throughout the organization.
Your responsibilities
Provide legal advice and counsel to ABB's local Motion business on various legal matters
Assist in project execution by reviewing contracts and managing disputes and litigation
Draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including frame agreements, sales contracts, procurement con-tracts, NDAs, channel partner agreements, consortium agreements, innovation agreements, startup agreements, and university agreements
Conduct risk analysis and provide advice on risk mitigation measures
Anticipate and identify legal issues that may affect the local business and develop effective legal strategies and practical solutions
Ensure compliance with corporate governance principles, including the implementation of the Code of Conduct and integrity training
Assist in investigating and resolving integrity issues that may arise
Manage and collaborate with external service providers, including external legal counsel
Provide legal and integrity training to key internal stakeholders
Ensure compliance with local laws, ABB policies, and procedures, including the implementation of GDPR
Proactively identify risks, external threats, and opportunities for the company and propose appropriate strategies
Your background
Master of Laws or an equivalent qualification in Swedish law from a reputable university
Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in a law firm or as an in-house legal counsel
Advanced skills in drafting and negotiating contracts and handling commercial law matters
Proven track record of providing legal advice with a clear understanding of commercial risks
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex or controversial topics in a clear and under-standable manner to diverse audiences
Highly collaborative individual with the ability to influence others and build strong professional relationships
Excellent written, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Self-motivated, confident, and able to work under pressure
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Swedish
