As Associate Director Accounting Nordics you are part of the European Accounting community and you work closely with the European Accounting Directors and with the markets CFO. In this position you are responsible for overseeing all areas of group and statutory reporting for the Teva Nordics entities. You are also responsible for the development and maintenance of Accounting principles, practices & procedures in line with US GAAP, local GAAP & corporate policies.
Key responsibilities
* Improve accounting activities in the cluster by enhancing business understanding.
* Develop and improve procedures and processes in line with Teva Finance strategy and objectives.
* Recruit, manage & develop professional employees and/or team leaders ensuring the ongoing development of the team and creation of a high performance environment
* Manage and oversee day-to-day operations
* Responsible for preparation of statutory financial statements and other local requirements
* Monitor and coordination of monthly, quarterly & year-end closing and reporting activities based on US GAAP / Business Units reporting guidelines
* Collaborate with different stakeholders across Teva's organization to ensure accurate presentation and valuation of all assets & liabilities (Treasury, Supply Chain, Global Accounting, Corporate Europe, etc.)
* Review of financial impact of commercial activities e.g. pricing, inventory.
* Review and provide information and clarifications to internal management regarding reported financial results
* Responsible for VAT and income tax reporting and compliance.
* Support and participate in initiatives and projects led by different stakeholders. Lead projects within the Cluster.
* Ensure compliance with SOX, regulatory requirements, internal guidelines and policies.
* Act as point of contact for external or internal auditors. Take ownership for resolving key audit findings and significant accounting matters
Who are you?
A strong leader with experience from a fast-paced multinational matrix organization, with excellent knowledge of US GAAP and SAP. A hands-on, pro-active problem solver with strong communication skills. You have an Academic work level - degree in Finance / Accounting (min. Bachelor) and at least 7 years of experience in accounting and management positions. You are fluent in English.
