How would you like to help transform the future of how energy data is accessed and used - not just by utilities, but across a range of industries, products, and services?
Eliq is looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Open Energy Associate to join our Open Data team. Open energy refers to standardized, user-permissioned access to energy consumption and grid data - made possible through national data hubs and regulations across Europe. It's a game-changer for creating new, data-driven services that help people and businesses use energy smarter.
This is a career-launching opportunity for someone who wants to build things, open new doors, and shape the future of data-powered products. You'll collaborate with commercial, product, and strategy teams to identify and validate opportunities, pitch to new partners, and help us grow revenue from a brand-new area of business.
What You'll Do
You'll act as a commercial trailblazer for our open energy business - exploring where open energy data can create value, validating ideas through rapid experiments, and helping turn those ideas into real products. You'll play a key role in identifying prospects, preparing business cases, and delivering early-stage pilots that prove the impact of open data in action.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and qualify new use cases and markets for open energy data
Prototype and test early solutions using internal tools and platforms like Retool or Lovable
Support business development by preparing materials, joining calls, and running experiments
Deliver and manage proof-of-concept pilots with prospective partners
Work cross-functionally to ensure new opportunities are aligned with product strategy
Champion open energy across Eliq and our customers - turning data into business outcomes
Who You Are
Entrepreneurial mindset - you're excited by early-stage ambiguity and building from scratch
Commercial curiosity - you enjoy asking "what if?" and turning ideas into real value
Strong communication skills - you can distill complexity into compelling narratives
Ability to work across teams and disciplines (product, engineering, sales)
Comfort with tools and data - you're hands-on and not afraid of learning new platforms
Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
What You'll Achieve
Help us hit revenue targets from Open Energy this year - and lay the foundation for even bigger growth next year
Deliver 2+ working proof-of-concepts using open data and 3rd-party tools
Create at least 1 new, validated use case for open energy data
Contribute to a pipeline of new business opportunities with long-term potential
Location: Gothenburg (on-site)
