Work description: Work duties are experimental work involving learning of conditional reflexes in decerebrate ferrets.
The work includes a) electrophysiological studies of cerebellar Purkinje cells during learning, b) pharmacological experiments with microinjections of monoaminergic drugs during Learning, c) histological work, such as identification of recording and injection sites after experiments
Qualifications: Required qualifications are:
- experience of small animal surgery
- experience of histological techniques, especially for labeling monoamine systems
- knowledge of cerebellar anatomy and function
- knowledge of monoamine pharmacology
- PhD exam in neuroscience
- knowledge in behavioral science including the basics of animal learning and experience of rabbit models of behavior research.
