JIBS is recruiting at least one assistant professor (Universitetslektor) in statistics to teach on all levels from undergraduate up to the PhD level.

YOUR PROFILE
- You have a PhD degree in statistics, or you have a date set for your final defense of the thesis.
- You have pedagogical education on the university level (equivalent to at least 7.5 credits of JIBS' course 'Teaching and learning in higher education'). If this course is not completed, you must agree to start this course within 18 months after the date of the employment.
- You are fluent in written and spoken English and you have the ambition to learn Swedish within 4 years.
- You have proven experience of teaching in statistics.
- You may be an extra strong candidate if; your PhD thesis is focused on method-development in statistics and econometrics; you have a track record of excellence in teaching within your specific focus area; you have high skills in programming languages; you have experience of advising in statistics, and can exhibit active involvement in research projects.
In the selection process, we will put great value on your personal qualifications to be able to match our needs in the discipline and for JIBS overall. This means you should be willing and able to contribute to a dynamic academic environment, including being present at JIBS throughout the year.

- Your application should include your CV and a personal cover letter, including three references (including position, how you know each other, e-mail, and phone number), five relevant scientific publications. Provide a description of your teaching experiences including examples of relevant course evaluations. You should also attach examples of programming code (constructed by yourself). Moreover, try to express your 'future research focus'. If you have a date set for your final defense of the thesis, please attach a certificate of the date signed by your main supervisor (or equivalent).
