ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN INFORMATICS

JIBS is one of four schools within Jönköping University and it is highly ranked worldwide in the areas of Entrepreneurship and Family Business research. WORKING TASK/QUALIFICATION
The position of Assistant professor refers to the area of Informatics at Jönköping International Business School, with a special focus on information architecture and user experience in a design context.
As a senior lecturer at JIBS we offer you a full-time permanent employment. Your tasks will include teaching; applying for, implementing and disseminating research projects; leading and developing courses, programs, and the educational agenda of the school; and supervising students. Additional assignments might be agreed upon and included with the position, with the overall goal of combining research and teaching. We seek candidates who are able to connect Informatics to producing innovation in teaching and research in the core areas of entrepreneurship, renewal, and ownership that form the strategic vision of JIBS.

Eligible applicants must hold a PhD in Informatics and documented research and teaching experience within the fields of information architecture, user experience design, or interaction design.

A great degree of importance will be attached to the applicant's documented experience in working, teaching and researching the subject area, and to documented experience of contributions to the field of Informatics at large. Scientific skills and teaching skills will be weighted equal. Experience with empirical research methods, interdisciplinary work, experience in participation in international projects and industrial collaboration will be taken into consideration.

The main language of research and teaching at JIBS is English. You must be fluent in both written and spoken English to be eligible. Skills in other languages, including Swedish, is an advantage. An international outlook as well as documented prior research, teaching and/or professional experience are also advantageous, as is an ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders in and around the university environment.
