JIBS is one of four schools within Jönköping University. The mission of JIBS is to advance the theory and practice of business, with a specific emphasis on Entrepreneurship, Ownership, and Renewal. Three simple principles guide what we do: International at Heart, Entrepreneurial in Mind and Responsible in Action. JIBS offers a range of Bachelor and Master Programs in Business Administration, Economics, and Informatics
WORKING TASKS
You will be part of the discipline of Business Administration at JIBS, but should have a track record that implies competence to bridge between the areas of business administration, information systems, and other related fields. The position comprises education activities (including teaching at Bachelor and Master level), research, and services to JIBS. Teaching is performed primarily in English, and distributed over the academic year. A part-time position as Programme Director is available for candidates aspiring to advance their academic leadership experience. Besides teaching, you must be able to position your present or aspired research orientation within JIBS focus areas (Entrepreneurship, Ownership and Renewal). All colleagues at JIBS are expected to do research, apply for externally funded research grants, as well as be engage with business and society at large, and also to improve JIBS footprint in the broader society.
Mandatory qualifications:
• Doctoral degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent academic competence.
• Proven experience of teaching in Business Administration amounting to at least one year full-time teaching.
• Pedagogical education or equivalent, as well as evidence of pedagogical skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and ability to teach and examine courses using English.
Meritorious qualifications:
• Track record of excellence in teaching linking to the special focus area.
• Project leadership and collaboration in projects, including cooperation and interaction with business and society large.
• Documented academic leadership (e.g. Programme coordinator, Director of Studies, Department head, Research project leader).
• Track record in research on digital business and/or digital innovation, linking to JIBS overall focus on entrepreneurship, ownership and renewal, and international research collaboration.
• Documented experience of research grant application and successful research grant application.
