Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is one of four schools within Jönköping University. The mission of Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is to advance the theory and practice of business, with a specific emphasis on Entrepreneurship, Ownership, and Renewal. Three simple principles guide what we do: International at Heart, Entrepreneurial in Mind and Responsible in Action. JIBS offers a range of Bachelor and Master Programs in Business Administration, Economics, and Informatics. JIBS has 85 faculty members and 14 operational staff serve some 1.600 full-time students, including approximately 350 international exchange students. JIBS currently has 61 active PhD candidates.

WORKING TASKS
Jönköping International Business School is recruiting an Assistant Professor in Business Administration with focus on Accounting. The holder of the position is part of the discipline of Business Administration at JIBS. The position comprises education activities, including teaching at Bachelor and Master level, research, and service to JIBS. Teaching is performed both in English and Swedish, and distributed over the different parts of the academic year.

Besides teaching, the holder of the position is expected to do research, apply for externally funded research grants, and contribute with new knowledge that strengthens JIBS? reputation in the focus areas Entrepreneurship, Ownership and Renewal. All JIBS faculty members are expected to contribute to improve JIBS footprint in the broader society.

The following qualifications are mandatory for all applicants:
• Doctoral degree in Business Administration or equivalent academic competence.
• Proven experience of teaching in Business Administration amounting to at least one year full-time teaching.
• Pedagogical education or equivalent, as well as evidence of pedagogical skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and ability to teach and examine courses using English.
• Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and ability to teach and examine courses using Swedish.

The following are considered as merits for the position:
• Academic leadership experience (e.g. Program coordinator, Director of Studies, project management)
• Excellence in research and experience of successful research grant application as well as international research collaboration.
• Experience from collaboration and interaction with private, public and voluntary sector organizations.
• Excellence in relevant teaching, including MBA, executive- and/or online education.
